Lead Pastor of EPIC Church International, located in Sayreville, NJ, John Wagner has more than a quarter-century of experience in vocational ministry to his position as well as a reputation for producing powerful and inspiring sermons that speak to a well-diversified congregation. Beyond his principal duties with EPIC Church International, Pastor John Wagner additionally serves as Apostolic Team Leader for Covenant Ministries International, a ministerial organization uniting more than 1,500 pastors from around the world.
Pastor Wagner also appears as a spiritual speaker on the international circuit and has developed the curriculum for institutional courses tracing the biographies of important biblical figures. Pastor John Wagner began his career in the ministry in 1987 as a youth pastor with the congregation of Faith Fellowship Ministries World Outreach Center, now located in Sayreville, New Jersey.
Within one year, he received ordination as a minister through Covenant Ministries International. In 1989, he graduated from Honolulu University with a Master of Arts in Theology and Religion while continuing his service with the Faith Fellowship Ministries World Outreach Center. In 1991, he began work as a traveling pastor under the auspices of his own organization, John J. Wagner Ministries.
Before accepting his present position with Turning Point Community Church, Pastor John Wagner served in roles as a founding, executive, and instructional pastor to congregations of up to 6,000 parishioners. His entrepreneurial talents include the development of an innovative hybrid approach to church modeling fashioned after the institutions of Willow Creek, Hillsong Australia, and Saddleback.
Pastor John Wagner's career in ministry took him around the world teaching in congregations in South Africa, the Caribbean Islands, Europe, and many other locations. His well-rounded repertoire allows him to cultivate sermons designed to reach a diverse audience, and he has ministered to flocks of virtually all ages and backgrounds.
